Workplace Investigation

Workplace Investigation

Docufraud Laboratory is here to assist workplace investigators with forensic collection and examination of evidence from two distinct types of workplace
investigations.

  • Examination of anonymously written letters or notes intended to harass, intimidate or threaten a co-worker or supervisor.  Every employee has the right to a safe workplace free of threats, violence and intimidation.
  • Construction related accidents such as death, slip and fall, vandalism or on-site safety violations.

Anonymous Handwriting

Obviously no two workplace investigations are the same.  An employee who is the recipient of anonymous emails, letters, notes or offensive writings in a
lunchroom, whiteboard or wall is entitled to report the incident to their
employer for investigation.  Docufraud handwriting experts will analyse the anonymous handwriting to determine or confirm the identify of the sender.  We have worked with corporate investigators representing company’s large and small in virtually every province in Canada.  Whether you’re the victim or the employer, we can help.  Our handwriting experts are court accepted and will present evidence in court if necessary.

Workplace accidents such as slip and fall, personal injury or site safety violations can happen anywhere.  At Docufraud we will deploy a forensic photographer and investigator wherever needed.  Accident scenes and construction workplace investigations have added complexity often due to the size of the scene.  It is this exact reason that proper documentation of an accident scene is needed to protect continuity of evidence for future examination.

A full set of forensic photographs identifying the location of faults, wiring, trip hazards and unsafe working conditions are all good reasons to ensure the accident site and surrounding buildings and conditions are professionally recorded for future review.

Documenting the location where an accident occurred is not the only important aspect to be considered.  A forensic photographer will also capture evidence of entrance and exit points, or overhead pictures taken of the entire site.

Have you ever attempted to ask the police, fire marshal or regulators to provide copies of their evidence.  it’s difficult to impossible.  All forensic accident investigations should be evaluated with the objective to support an insurance claim or possible litigation.

Ever tried to document evidence during a rain storm, or at night?  Inclement weather is the greatest destructor of evidence.  That and having other people traipsing through your accident scene.  We cannot overstate the importance of having your own dedicated forensic team on call and on-site quickly.

Our Toronto office employs ultra-high resolution 3D microscopy for the identification of evidence such as weld defects, electrical wiring issues or evidence gathered from a fire or accident scene.  We’ll catalog and retain all physical evidence for proper chain of custody documentation.
